LNWR slate waggons at foot of Penybont incline, 30 June 1956. This connected Oakeley's Glanydon Tip to the ex-LNWR transshipment yard in Blaenau Ffestiniog, bypassing the FR's Dinas Branch. Note the stub points and haulage chain attached to the near-most waggon. Over on the other side of the Conwy Valley standard-gauge line is the derelict FR Dinas station and goods shed.
