Site of the original Dinas Junction below Glan y Pwll, 30 June 1956. The gate on the left marks the branch line to Nyth y Gigfran Incline. Domen Fawr, arguably the most spectacular waste tip in the slate industry, dominates the landscape. The Dinas Branch was rebuilt to accommodate this vast undertaking.
