Title
Pont Croesor.
Pont Croesor, 1940. Note the Brine Tank waggon still in position atop the crib of sleepers at the far end of the bridge. It had been used as a water tank for locomotives before the WHR closed. The bridge's wooden deck was removed when the track was lifted. Whilst the Croesor Tramway was still being used for sporadic traffic at this time, it is unclear whether this lower section of the line was traversed, although it was left in situ for a time when the rest of the WHR was lifted in the hope that slate traffic would pick up again after the war.
