Bessie Jones and Prince at Tan y Bwlch Station, 24 June 1933. The locomotive appears to be shunting the sidings that serve the goods shed. However this was a publicity shot, as evidenced by the staged manning of the point lever (moving the points underneath the locomotive would have been unwise!) and the stop block fitted to the siding.
Double balcony brake van No. 6 (mk3 quarrymen's conversion) is coupled to the locomotive. The small waggon loaded with timber is probably inside bearing PW trolley No. 2, whilst in the background can be glimpsed covered goods van No. 1 (mk3 quarrymen's conversion with sliding doors) and the wooden gibbet crane. Prince only has the single whistle by this date, and the front apron metal plate has clearly suffered heavy damage.
