Title
Coaling Merddin Emrys at Porthmadog Harbour Station Goods Shed.
Coaling Merddin Emrys at Porthmadog Harbour Station goods shed, 1934. The water tank was installed after trains started running to Porthmadog New. It stopped after the Britannia Terrace residents complained about the nuisance. The locomotive was working a cross town service to meet passengers from a WHR train that terminated at Porthmadog New (North). Possibly Morris Davies shovelling coal in the wooden 4-ton waggon, with Fireman William R. Williams to the right of the locomotive. Note the key hammer (or brush) propped up against the door.
