Votty & Bowydd Incline at the top end of Duffws Station, 15 September 1949. Loaded slate awaiting collection on left had siding. Note the empty slate waggon closest to the photographer. The cross hatched end is unusual for an FR vehicle. It is suspected that the first iron slate waggons were built with this type of end before they ended up with the middle angle iron rail that all surviving FR 2-ton slate waggons carry.
