Livingston Thompson at Duffws circa 1921 shortly before withdrawal for heavy overhaul. The driver is William John Pierce (right) and the fireman is Ernest E. Jones. The chalk marking on the smokebox door is likely in connection with the temperance movement. Note the polished hinges and patch beneath the door.
