File metadata
Dinas Carriage Shed during dismantling, August 1942. Engine shed out of shot on the left, with Baldwin 590 being cut up for scrap outside. Gas bottles for this task are on the flat waggon in the foreground. Ashbury carriages awaiting auction on the mainline in the background, the nearest of which appears to be glazed, probably corridor carriage No. 24. The carriage behind is semi-open summer carriage No. 26. Note the large legged board leaning against the inside of the carriage shed, possibly the redundant station name board. By this time, Dinas was the last section of the ex-NWNG line that had not been dismantled by the scrap men; George Cohen, Sons & Co. Ltd.
