Title
Gravity slate train at Dduallt Station.
Gravity slate train passing through Dduallt Station circa 1905. This photograph provides a rare view of Rhoslyn Station House when it was fit for habitation. The rear of the train seems to be just in view to the left of the station building, making it around fifty waggons in total, which is supported by the presence of only the two brakesman. The site of the rumoured passing loop is in front of the photographer, but the photographic records suggest it was only ever a siding, seen here fitted with a stop block. Note the children sitting atop the slate milepost.
