Title
Merddin Emrys at Porthmadog Harbour Station.
Merddin Emrys at Porthmadog Harbour Station. The locomotive is still fitted with its own bogies and still wears the ornate lined livery of the Edwardian period, albeit it appears a little faded. The two rivets on the side of the smokebox are not present in Edwardian scenes and probably date from the fitting of its third boiler. This photograph is most likely taken soon after the locomotive returned to service in July 1921, as it is mounted on Livingston Thompson's bogies. Matchboard 3rd class No. 5 & semi-open Small Birmingham carriages behind the locomotive and on 2-Road.
