Derelict waggons at Porthmadog Harbour Station, 1945 - 1946. Coal & goods waggons in the foreground, iron & wooden slates on the other roads. One interesting detail on the wooden slate waggons is the practice of gradually replacing life expired wooden body slats with what looks like iron I-beams - which over time would effectively turn them into iron bodies vehicles with wooden chassis.
