Title

Bodychain.

Bodychain newly re-laid in flat-bottom rail circa 1976. The uppermost section of the line received new rails and sleepers years before the Deviation was completed. It has not received any ballast, and a great deal of work was required on the civil engineering before this section was suitable for passenger trains. The decision for starting laying rails here years before they were needed was somewhat political.
