Footbridge above Tropencraig looking south circa 1945. Note the Down disc for Tanygrisiau & Cwmorthin Siding at Penlan in the distance. The row of cottages on the left, along with other buildings along this section of the railway, have since disappeared. The clear footpath to the right of the rails would have been a cause of very real danger in the wrong circumstances.
