Porthmadog Harbour Station Goods Shed.

Porthmadog Harbour Station Goods Shed circa 1944 - 1945. Surplus rolling stock had been dumped at this location after passenger services were suspended, including a large number of slate waggons, and one of the Hudson bogie flat waggons (ex-Toastrack bogie carriage underframe). Note that it still retains the wooden deck floor in this shot. It would subsequently be reduced to a bare chassis after the railway closed.

This photograph gives a good view of the substantial slate wharf building behind the goods shed. The fence between the station building and goods shed is still in situ, but only just, and would soon be removed.
