The ALCo Mountaineer and Blanche with varnished stock at Minffordd Long Siding with the AGM train, 26 April 1969. It was chosen as Mountaineer's name day. The locomotive's new cab is yet to be fitted with spectacle plate glass. The flared chimney is borrowed from Linda (which was having its boiler superheated at Hunslet at the time). Blanche's driver is Anthony Massau, whilst Mountaineer is driven by Allan Garraway. Note the 2-ton & 3-ton slate waggons at the end of the Mineral Line.
