Title
Moelwyn & Blanche entering Tanygrisiau Station.
Date
11/12/1981
Moelwyn and Blanche entering Tanygrisiau Station in heavy snow, 11 December 1981. This was supposedly the first steam train to the newly established PW depot at Glan y Pwll. Note the depth of snow relative to Moelwyn's buffer beam. Phil Girdlestone was the driver and Dave Barlow the fireman on Blanche. Moelwyn will shortly shunt on to the back of the train to help with shunting at the depot. Moelwyn's driver may be Fred Howes. The waggons in the PW train include the wooden bolster set, the iron bolster set, a pair of Bocoals, and several RAF's with single balcony Brake Van No. 2. The derailed small fuel oil tanker No. 155 was built from a 3-ton slate waggon.
