Simplex Mary Ann at Tan y Bwlch, January 1976. The filming seen here was for the 'Go with Noakes' programme (John Noakes). David 'Bunny' Lewis is sitting on the end of the RAF waggon. Because the planned filming of a gravity PW train had not been up to standard, the crew filmed from this train whilst it was hauled back up the line with the film loaded in reverse hence the odd position for the camera. There would also have been the sound engineer (Bob Cartwright) and other BBC crew.
