Merddin Emrys waiting to leave Tan y Bwlch with a Down train. Special AGM tour celebrating the Centenary of Steam, 22 May 1963. The locomotive is freshly polished and is wearing newly painted white tyres. Note the weather board style semi-open cab, built from the front sheets of the original, which could not be fitted onto the new superstructure.
