Merddin Emrys shunting at Porthmadog Harbour Station, summer 1972. The locomotive is operating its final season on coal. The second carriage is one of the brand new Toastrack Tourist carriages. Both disc signals remain at danger. Britannia Foundry on the right is shortly to be demolished. Note the stone sleeper (or fence post base) on the left.
