Title
Welsh Pony at Duffws with permission of Llyfrgell Genedlaethol Cymru/ National Library of Wales
Welsh Pony at Duffws after April 1880, as it is fitted with two whistles. The braked, steel framed tender No. 2 behind the engine is also recorded as being made in that month. Welsh Pony has a new, engraved, brass nameplate. The locomotive still carries its original tall, narrow, sandpots and it can be seen that the regulator shuts to the left. Note the early wooden 2-ton (No. 6) and 1-ton (No. 1) inside bearing coal waggons visible in the background on the right.

Interestingly, the driver and fireman pairing seen here is also seen posing with Taliesin (I) in this series of famous photographs.
