Title

Northern end of Beddgelert Station.

Northern end of Beddgelert Station, probably in the 1950's. The power lines have been installed but the formation still appears to show visible ballast and the turf of later years is yet to take hold. The bridge (UB167) was an original PBSSR stone structure with concrete additions for the WHR. The bridge and embankment were subsequently widened to the left to accommodate the southbound track of the lengthened 200m loop and platform. The 21st century station points are situated approximately at the wooden stile visible in the distance. The mountain on the skyline is Trum y Ddysgl on the Nantlle Ridge.
