Title
The Groby Branch.
The panorama looking towards Tanygrisiau with a very rare glimpse of the Groby Granite Company branch line in the foreground. This scene dates from the early 20th century circa 1910 with the branch line newly laid to serve the quarry to the south. The Ffestiniog mainline is visible threading its way through the houses between Barlwyd Terrace and Footbridge 2 (many of which have since been pulled down) in the distance and, on the edge of sight, descending into Cwm Ystradau towards Moelwyn Tunnel.
