Prince shunting at Boston Lodge Works, 4 July 1956, including wooden 4-ton open waggon heaped up with coal. Oddly the tender itself looks almost empty, even though the locomotive is clearly in steam. The new outside pit is under construction, and generally there is much activity on show in the Bottom Yard. Note the gunpowder van and dismantled Toastrack carriages.
