The train was loaded at Tan y Bwlch. Colonel Campbell, who enjoyed running rights over the dormant Tan-y-Bwlch to Dduallt section, is driving his private 20hp Simplex locomotive, later acquired by the railway and named Jane. At this time it was stabled in the Colonel's private siding at Campbell's Platform, and soon acquired a homemade cab.
