File metadata
Palmerston derelict in Boston Lodge Top Yard during 1955. It had formerly been in use as a stationary boiler for the steam hammer inside the Blacksmiths Shop (right). Granite waggon (converted from 3-ton slate) adjacent to the main yard turntable. Note the right angled track visible just behind the locomotive passing into the Blacksmiths. This intersected with a turntable out of shot on the left along the main siding. Most of the overgrowth that had accumulated during the closure has been cleared away by the preservationists.
