File metadata
Moel y Gest Quarry 0-4-0 vertical boiler locomotive outside Custom House, Porthmadog Harbour Station, 1904. Note that this was not a De Winton product. It was built by the Falcon Works in Loughborough, possibly to a Spooner & Co design. It was used to transport rock from the Moel y Gest granite quarry to the Harbour. Boston Lodge was employed in the repair of this locomotive. Note the long sprung buffers. Coupled to a goods waggon on one of the Goods Shed sidings.
