Title
Blanche entering Glan y Pwll.
Date
11/12/1981
Blanche entering Glan y Pwll, 11 December 1981. Supposedly the first steam train to the newly established PW depot. Moelwyn is top and tailing at the other end. Phil Girdlestone was the driver and Dave Barlow the fireman. The train was initially double headed, with Moelwyn then running separately to help with shunting once inside the yard. Moelwyn's driver might be Fred Howes. The waggons in the PW train include the wooden bolster set, the iron bolster set, and a pair of Bocoals. Note the chaired bullhead track still in use at the junction. The cliffs and incline of Nyth y Gigfran tower above the landscape.
