Russell approaching Porthmadog, The listed date of 29 July 1924 is not possible if this fits in with the two others from this photographer which can be dated to 1928 or 1929 with the Buffet Car in the rake. The locomotive has recently had its profile cut down in a futile attempt to enable its use on the FR. Beddgelert siding in the background is packed with slate, note the Parc & Croesor slate waggons in the siding.
