Livingston Thompson leaving Tan y Bwlch Station with an Up mixed train, April 1918. The bogie carriages are Brown Marshalls Nos 16 & 15. This is an early scene showing a Small Birmingham 4-wheeler carriage (probably No. 5) with matchboard sides. The rest of the visible trains includes one of the large bogie vans (No. 4 or 5) and a string of slate waggons. The locomotive's water tanks are leaking heavily and required replacement.
