Title
Merddin Emrys at Tan y Bwlch Station.
Merddin Emrys at Tan y Bwlch Station circa 1923. It is fitted with LT's power bogies. The double lamps suggest this is an Up mixed train with slate waggons strung out behind the passenger carriages. The iconic double arm signal would be decommissioned two years later.

Note the refreshment sign on the signal and table laid with drinks in the door of the station house, possibly by Mrs Ellen Yoxall who continued living there after the death of her husband the station master until Will Jones moved there two years after this scene. Note also that the Up disc quadrant has been moved by this date presumably to shorten the wire run as had been done with the Down one decades earlier.
