Ynysfor circa 1930. This photograph serves as an important record of the small halt and siding that operated here, often used for the transfer of milk churns. The goods waggon in the siding is an unusual type. Gatws Bach is off to the left with the since abandoned road heading off east towards Garreg. The railway stretches off into the distance towards Croesor Junction.

Note that the Mowat family, seen here walking towards the camera, are returning from a walk along the Croesor Tramway. It is apparent from looking at all their photographs taken in the area that the week of their holiday was the week when the FR had restarted but the WHR had not. Unsurprisingly, it would seem from their photographs that the Croesor Tramway traffic to/from Portmadoc during the WHR stoppage continued to be transported to the wharves by horse and locomotive (probably the petrol tractors on dedicated workings).
