Title
Morning empty slate train hauled by Taliesin (II) at Tan y Bwlch.
Taliesin (II) with the morning Up empty slate train at Tan y Bwlch Station. Note the gunpowder van marshalled in the middle of the train. Variety of point levers on sidings. Rare view of Goods Shed and wooden gibbet crane. The fireman could be William R. Williams, which together with the vertical lamp bracket on the locomotive's front apron sets the scene between 1939 and 1940. The use of a Double Fairlie would indicate that the train is of considerable length.
