Title
Pont Goch (WSCo Viaduct).
Pont Goch (WSCo Viaduct) and inclines to Oakeley Quarries at Rhiwbryfdir circa 1901. Wooden and iron coal waggons are on the high level running from the incline spur onto the Oakeley-LNWR transshipment wharf. The viaduct is newly rebuilt by LNWR with iron span.

Spion Kop Incline (that visible in the distance) is also newly built. It gave access between the middle quarry (Gloddfa Ganol) and the lower quarry level, allowing all slate to descend down the shorter WSCo incline just visible on the northern side of the viaduct. The older Rhiwbryfdir Incline in the foreground became surplus to requirements in 1905 when Oakeley built their new incline down at Dinas for its FR traffic. It was soon abandoned and buried by the expanding waste tips. No trace of it is visible today.
