Title
Ashbury Bogie Carriage No. 26.
Date
16/12/1958
Ex-WHR Ashbury summer carriage No. 26 outside Glan y Mor carriage shed, 16 December 1958. Formerly in use as a chicken hut at Groeslon. This carriage is awaiting repair on a pair of slate waggons ambulance chassis. In the bottom right corner can be glimpsed the right angle track that at this time still ran from Glan y Mor behind the Erecting Shop (the large building in the background) into the Joiners Shop in the far corner of the Top Yard.

Note the side door entrance into the Erecting Shop on the right in the background. This is the modern day connection between the Erecting Shop and the Engine Shed. The gable on the left is the old oil store demolished to make way for that new shed. The window openings have been boarded up and tinned over, possibly by Rev Timmy Philips for security during the closure period. On the far left can be glimpsed the rear of the Long Shed.
